Originally from Serbia and living in Ireland since 2016, Alexandra started to show her interest in music at a very young age
playing the accordion and piano. She studied classical music through Primary and Secondary Music School. While studding she won
many state and international awards in music competitions.
Her next natural step was to study at the Academy of Arts, in the Music Department at the University of Novi Sad in Serbia.
She graduated with a Masters Degree in General Music Pedagogy. With her Masters Degree she started to work as a Music Teacher
in a Music School, teaching students the Piano, Music Theory, Solfeggio and was the Conductor of the School Choir. Several of her students
have won International competitions in Music Theory and Solfeggio.
She became a Lecturer along with one of her colleagues, for a certified seminar entitled "How to implement different didactic and
methodical approaches during music lessons" in 2012. The seminar was certified and approved by the Ministry of Education in the Republic
of Serbia. Attendees of this Seminar after implemented this approach for their music lessons.
During 2013, Alexandra was awarded an accolade for achievement during her time at the Music School where she was employed. One of her
special moments was when she and her students were invited to perform at the opening ceremony of the Weekend of sport, organized by UNICEF
and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia.
She has continued her teaching career since moving to Dublin and she has being teaching the Piano at the Malahide School of Music since
2019.
Composing music is one of her passions, where she can express herself through music and she gains great personal satisfaction from this.
